Applicants must demonstrate a need for affordable housing, the ability to pay a zero-interest mortgage, and a willingness to partner by contributing at least 300 hours of sweat equity.
Perfect credit is not required. However, you must have a stable income and manageable debt. We evaluate financial responsibility and the ability to make monthly payments.
No. Habitat homes are sold to qualified applicants at cost and financed with a zero-interest mortgage. Homeowners are responsible for insurance, taxes, and monthly mortgage payments.
Not at all! We welcome volunteers of all skill levels. Our staff will provide training and supervision on-site.
Yes! Churches, schools, businesses, and civic groups are all encouraged to schedule group volunteer days. Contact us to arrange a team build day.
Yes. Volunteers are also needed at our ReStore, in our office, or during special events and fundraisers.
The ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store that sells new and gently used furniture, building materials, tools, and home goods at deeply discounted prices. Proceeds support our mission.
We accept quality building materials, cabinetry, doors, windows, lighting fixtures, tools, hardware, and more. We cannot accept appliances, mattresses, or anything damaged. View our full list of accepted donations.

Yes. Habitat for Humanity of San Angelo is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
